Central Hawke’s Bay Promotions Incorporated (trading as CHB Promotions Inc.) was formed to encourage business development, and tourism in Central Hawke’s Bay. The district boundaries include Waipukurau, Waipawa, Porangahau, Takapau, Otane, Onga Onga, Pukehou and Tikokino.

Our mission is to market and develop the district and ensure a quality experience to visitors. We aim to promote the commercial centres of the district as great places to shop and do business and to encourage existing and future district development of Central Hawke’s Bay.

CHB Promotions is base funded by the Central Hawke’s Bay District Council. We operate with an elected board consisting of a chairman and representatives from around the district, plus one Council representative. The Board employs a manager to operate CHB Promotions Inc and the Visitor Information Centre in Waipukurau.

The Board and manager develop an annual plan directed towards marketing and promotion projects, financial management and visitor information services in the area.

The office of CHB Promotions Inc. can be found at the CHB Visitor Information Centre, located at Waipukurau’s historic railway station at the southern end of Waipukurau on Railway Esplanade.
